Liz McCoy Hamilton is a multi-genre author and storyteller from rural North Mississippi. She makes her literary debut with dark stories carried by luminous hearts - a balance that defines her work, which explores themes of found family, survival, trauma, and healing.
Writing the things we survive.
She writes for readers who grew up in homes that looked fine from the outside but hurt behind closed doors. She does not shy away from difficult subject matter because real people endure difficult realities. By naming these experiences on the page, she refuses to let darkness have the final word.
When not writing, Liz enjoys watching thunderstorms, quilting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren, who call her "Mamoo." She and her husband are high school sweethearts who reconnected in 2011. She is the proud mother of two children and loves being a grandmother.
